Frédéric Pesme is a French Army Brigadier General (Ret.). He is a graduate of Saint Cyr Military Academy and the Canadian Forces College (Command and Staff Course).

Fred has worked on NATO and European Defence issues for over twenty years, holding senior positions both in Paris and within NATO, including Executive Assistant to NATO’s Supreme Allied Commander Transformation and Deputy Director Policy and Capabilities at NATO HQ, where he co chaired committees on innovation, Science &Technology and AI.

Fred's career also includes operational deployments such as Afghanistan and command in the French Caribbean. He now advises European companies on navigating NATO institutions and defence ecosystems, and he lectures on NATO, European Defence and transatlantic cooperation. He holds a MA in Geopolitics and has published on European Defence.
